Planned Pethood is the only low-cost high-volume spay-neuter clinic in Gwinnett County and they see nearly 200 animal for survey per week. The first Dreamland was opened in 1958 by John “Big Daddy” Bishop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In the early years, Mr. Bishop and his wife, Ms. Lily, sold everything from burgers to postage stamps. Their barbecue ribs, however, quickly became the talk of the town. Before long, folks from all over the country began waiting in long lines stretching out the front door, wondering what all the fuss was about. Mr. Bishop’s legend grew and grew and, the rest, as they say, is history. While Dreamland has since expanded beyond their humble Tuscaloosa storefront, they’ve never forgotten their roots and Mr. Bishop’s incredible story.
