It is important to the Mayor and City Council that citizens have confidence in our financial health and practices and be provided full access to all financial data. Accordingly, the City is set to begin its 6th collaboration with the Citizen’s Budget Review Advisory Committee on March 8, 2017 for the FY2018 budget.
“Deck the Hall” with Duluth this year! Formerly the Duluth Tree Lighting, Deck the Hall will help bring in the holiday spirit with a polar express train ride, a snow playground, Santa Claus and more!
Downtown Duluth will offer some new dining options pretty soon. Parsons Alley releases some of the businesses coming to downtown Duluth. So far, plans are for a new brew pub (Good Word Brew pub), a Korean steakhouse and oyster bar (Noona) and a donut shop (Simply Done Donuts). The City of Duluth celebrated the groundbreaking of Kathy Fincher’s 9/11 inspired sculpture on Monday, November 7th on Duluth Town Green in front of a crowd of excited onlookers. The sculpture, Dream Keepers, is sponsored by the Duluth Fine Arts League and Fincher.

Howl on the green as creepy crawlers, aerialist, fire dancers and more take over Duluth Town Green on October 28th. Join us for Duluth’s spooktacular event that is sure to keep the crowd buzzing.
It’s an early fall Fridays-N-Duluth that might be cooler in temperature but HOT with activities when STEAM joins the event on Friday, October 21! The evening will be filled with the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) to be enjoyed by all ages, and also includes crowd-favorite DJ Rob, all occurring in Downtown Duluth. As with every Fridays-N-Duluth, the fun begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the meeting facilities of Formetco at 2963 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, GA 30096, the City of Duluth will hold a Public Information Meeting (PIM) concerning Project ARC TIP: GW-392. This project, located in the City of Duluth, Gwinnett County, proposes improvements to the interchange at US 23/SR 13/Buford Highway and Pleasant Hill Road.
The City of Duluth is excited to announce the release of their new app. The “Be Duluth” City app was created to provide a better experience for the user. It provides an array of information.
Exciting changes continue in Duluth! The downtown road projects are complete, Coleman Middle School is complete and open, Dreamland BBQ is complete and open, O4W Pizza is open, The Chocolaterie is open (have you seen the beautiful mural on the side of their building?!), and just last week a new restaurant, Piatto, opened in the former Huthmaker Violin location on Main Street. So much is happening and here are some updates on other ongoing projects.
