On Saturday, March 18, 2017 (weather permitting) or March 20, 2017 there will be temporary road closures for the removal and replacement of asphalt along the entire stretch of parallel parking on SR 120/Main Street AT THE BLOCK/PARSONS ALLEY.
Don’t Block the Box
Many of you may have noticed the new signing and pavement marking at the intersections of SR 120 with Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and SR 120 with Buford Highway. There are giant X’s painted in the middle of the intersections with black/white/red regulatory signs posted nearby, indicating “Don’t Block the Box” or “Do Not Block Intersection”.
Rogers Bridge Public Information Meeting
Rogers Bridge is an important link between Gwinnett and Fulton Counties. It connects the Cities of Duluth and Johns Creek. Taken out of service in the 1970’s, this bridge offers a unique opportunity to restore connectivity for cyclists and pedestrians.

Duluth Begins Newest Downtown Residential Project
On Friday, January 27 the City of Duluth gave the official go-ahead to begin construction of a new downtown community that will feature close to 100 homes. The development will sit on 18.81 acres of land near City Hall at the corner of Hill Street and Hardy Street.

Duluth Announces Spirit of Good Living Award Winners
As part of Mayor Nancy Harris’ State of the City Address on January 23rd, nine community volunteers, business owners and citizens were recognized with Spirit of Good Living Awards. Mayor Harris began this tradition at the 2014 State of the City Address and will continue to honor citizens each year at the annual event. Each Councilmember selects a recipient of the award.

2017 State of the City Address
