STEAM Event Coming to Fridays N Duluth

It’s an early fall Fridays-N-Duluth that might be cooler in temperature but HOT with activities when STEAM joins the event on Friday, October 21!  The evening will be filled with the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) to be enjoyed by all ages, and also includes crowd-favorite DJ Rob, all occurring in Downtown Duluth. As with every Fridays-N-Duluth, the fun begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m.

Public Meeting on Roadway Improvement

On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the meeting facilities of Formetco at 2963 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, GA 30096, the City of Duluth will hold a Public Information Meeting (PIM) concerning Project ARC TIP: GW-392. This project, located in the City of Duluth, Gwinnett County, proposes improvements to the interchange at US 23/SR 13/Buford Highway and Pleasant Hill Road.

Redevelopment Continues in Duluth

Exciting changes continue in Duluth! The downtown road projects are complete, Coleman Middle School is complete and open, Dreamland BBQ is complete and open, O4W Pizza is open, The Chocolaterie is open (have you seen the beautiful mural on the side of their building?!), and just last week a new restaurant, Piatto, opened in the former Huthmaker Violin location on Main Street. So much is happening and here are some updates on other ongoing projects.

Duluth’s Proctor Square Coming Down; New Development Going Up

The time is here! One of the City’s most frequently asked questions, when will something be done with Proctor Square? has been answered! On Tuesday, July 19th at 11:30 a.m., a ceremonial demolition gathering will be held on site at Proctor Square located behind 3116 Buford Highway. The downtown revitalization is now reaching across Buford Highway as Duluth continues its transformation!
