Barefoot in the Park and The City of Duluth Georgia present the 11th Annual Barefoot in the Park on May 9 – 10 located on the Duluth Town Green. This event will combine art exhibits, food, and music and dance performances during Mother’s Day Weekend, so this is a great event for families, adults, or anyone who enjoys the arrival of spring. You can also bring your well-behaved, leashed dogs.
Barefoot in the Park 2015 will begin at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine, admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. Proof of the Pudding will provide food and beverage options for purchase, including both beer and wine for adults.
Some of the featured art includes folk art, glasswork, jewelry, photography, pottery, watercolor and more. Student artists from Duluth will be featured and you can enjoy our Silent Auction to bid on various special items.
For a more hands-on experience, visit the Jay Shapiro Adult Learning Village to hear artists share techniques for different types of work. View the list of lecturing artists or visit www.BarefootinthePark.org.
For music and dance performances, there are two different stages where you can see such varied performances as the Gwinnett Community Band and the Mexican Ballet Azteca. Click on the following for a list of scheduled Saturday and Sunday stage events.
Come visit Duluth for Barefoot in the Park and make it a memorable Mother’s Day. Last year, an estimated 12,000 visited and we look forward to another successful event this year.
