With over 100 events a year, the City of Duluth raises the bar by finding a new way to provide a better event experience. The City has launched a new interactive event map to give residents a birds-eye view.
“Leading up to our events, we get a lot of questions ranging from event time, location, parking, restrooms, etc. Now residents have another way to get information about our events” said Public Information and Marketing Director, Alisa Williams.
The new event map created by Walkabout shows patrons where & what vendors are onsite, restroom and stage locations, VIP table locations as well as shop and dining information of downtown. They can view the map on their phones or on a computer.
The City tested the app on July 3rd for the Duluth Celebrates America event and had an overwhelming response from the community. The map will feature all Duluth City events except Food Truck Friday as that event has the same setup week after week.
You can find the event map at www.duluthga.net/map, on the City’s main page-days leading up to the event, or on the City’s new app which is set to launch soon.
