Rogers Bridge is an important link between Gwinnett and Fulton Counties. It connects the Cities of Duluth and Johns Creek. Taken out of service in the 1970’s, this bridge offers a unique opportunity to restore connectivity for cyclists and pedestrians.
In partnership with the City of Johns Creek, Gwinnett County, and Fulton County, the City of Duluth is leading the effort to restore this connection. A public information meeting will be held in the Johns Creek City Hall on Tuesday, March 28th and in the City of Duluth on Thursday, March 30th. The meeting in Johns Creek will be from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm and in Duluth will be in the Community Room of City Hall, from 4:30pm – 7:00pm. Johns Creek City Hall is located at 12000 Findley Road in Johns Creek and Duluth City Hall is located at 3167 Main Street in Duluth. These meetings are an open house and we encourage you to drop by any time between those hours to look at concepts for the bridge, ask questions of the design team, and offer your input on a preferred alternative. There will be no formal presentation. With fabulous parkland on both sides of the bridge, the cities and the counties are excited to restore this connection and offer a truly regional bike/ped facility that will allow access to and from both sides of the River. Please join us on either March 28th or March 30th and learn more.
