Exciting changes continue in Duluth! The downtown road projects are complete, Coleman Middle School is complete and open, Dreamland BBQ is complete and open, O4W Pizza is open, The Chocolaterie is open (have you seen the beautiful mural on the side of their building?!), and just last week a new restaurant, Piatto, opened in the former Huthmaker Violin location on Main Street. So much is happening and here are some updates on other ongoing projects.

SummerStage Concert Series featuring Drivin N Cryin
Enjoy the sounds of southern rock, fused with country, jangle pop and hard rock on August 13th when Atlanta’s very own, Drivin’ N Cryin’ hits the Duluth Festival Center Stage. Duluth’s Proctor Square Coming Down; New Development Going Up
The time is here! One of the City’s most frequently asked questions, when will something be done with Proctor Square? has been answered! On Tuesday, July 19th at 11:30 a.m., a ceremonial demolition gathering will be held on site at Proctor Square located behind 3116 Buford Highway. The downtown revitalization is now reaching across Buford Highway as Duluth continues its transformation!

Duluth Celebrates America
All eyes will be on the City of Duluth as fireworks ignite the sky and the smooth tunes of the 116th Army Band and the Band of Gold take over the stage in Duluth’s award winning patriotic celebration.
Temporary Road Closure
The City of Duluth will be closing Hill Street between West Lawrenceville Street and SR 120 from 6/13 to 8/12 for construction staging as well as construction of the remaining curb, sidewalk, and retaining wall along that section of road. The road will reopen for July 3rd,only, to allow for better traffic circulation the day of the celebratory event. For more information about road closures, visit here.
