As part of Mayor Nancy Harris’ State of the City Address on January 23rd, nine community volunteers, business owners and citizens were recognized with Spirit of Good Living Awards. Mayor Harris began this tradition at the 2014 State of the City Address and will continue to honor citizens each year at the annual event. Each Councilmember selects a recipient of the award.
“These volunteers, business owners and citizens go above and beyond to contribute to their community. The Council wanted a way to recognize them and thank them for their passion and commitment to our great city. This is just a small token of our appreciation for all the hard work and dedication these individuals share because they love the place they call home” said Mayor Harris. This year’s recipients have volunteered on numerous City boards, committees, non profit organizations and so much more.
