Here’s what Cookie’s Mom has to say about this good girl: “Cookie is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu. Her favorite activities are napping, following mom around the house and walking to Downtown Duluth! We’ve had her in our family since she was two months old and we wouldn’t change a thing! She completes us and we love her so much.”

The City Council of the City of Duluth amended Article III of Chapter 8 – Stopping, Standing & Parking, by adding #14 to the ordinance.
Sec. 8-68 Citywide Regulations – Article III Stopping, Standing, and Parking
In all areas of the city, it shall be unlawful to permit any motor vehicle to stop, stand, or park in any of the following places and locations except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a policeman or traffic control device:
(1) In any intersection;
(2) In any crosswalk;
(3) Upon any bridge or viaduct or approach thereto;
(4) Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within thirty (30) feet of a point of the curb immediately opposite the end of a safety zone;
(5) Within thirty (30) feet of a traffic signal, beacon, or sign on the approaching side;
(6) Within twenty (20) feet of any intersection or crosswalk;
(7) At any place where the standing of a vehicle will reduce the usable width of the roadway from moving traffic to less than eighteen (18) feet;
(Within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant;
(9) At any place where the vehicle would block the use of a driveway;
(10) Within fifty (50) feet of the nearest railroad grade crossing;
(11) Within twenty (20) feet of the driveway entrance to any fire department station and on the side of the street opposite the entrance to any such station within seventy-five (75) feet of such entrance when a sign is properly posted;
(12) On any sidewalk or parkway;
(13) At any place where official signs prohibit parking;

The City of Duluth is excited to introduce the newest public art to enhance our art-loving community! Located on the back windows of the Nacho Daddy building, the Meet Me on Main mural allows you to take a (colorful) step back into old Duluth.
Brenda Ehly is the talented artist behind this piece. When asked to describe her newest mural, Ehly said “When I first moved to Duluth in 1984, the city seal displayed the motto, ‘Pride in Old and New’. I think that spirit is alive and well in Duluth, and I hope my painting, Meet Me on Main, reflects that value. The location of this mural installation is actually the same one as the scene depicted. The bank is currently the site of The Chocolaterie, and where Parsons Dry Goods once stood, you can now find Good Word Brewing. The city requested a colorful and whimsical interpretation of a historic photograph, and I am honored to have been included in this project.”

After a Georgia win last night, we could not have asked for a better randomly selected winner from the office’s Alexa!
Here’s what Georgia’s Mom has to has about this good girl: “Georgia is our ‘foster fail’ from Georgia English Bulldog Rescue! We have been fostering with the rescue for several years and find the work meaningful and rewarding. Georgia, however, was the first foster that we ‘failed’ and wanted to KEEP! She was a perfect fit from the start. She loves sleeping, sunbathing, playing tug-of-war with her toy, destroying dog beds, and playing with our daughter, who is crazy about her. Georgia also has a bulldog brother, Elliot, from the same rescue.”

Santa made his final stop in Downtown Duluth this past Saturday for Cookies & Cocoa with Santa! Thank you to our volunteers for helping make this event a success: Duluth High School National Honor Society, Duluth High School Beta Club and Duluth First Baptist.
It’s official: we Decked the Hall this past Saturday and we had a jolly great time! While the snow may be gone, the holiday photo ops will email on display through the New Year. Be sure to tag us when you visit!
What makes the perfect fall day, you ask? Oktoberfest games, brews on tap, chicken dancing and hanging out with friends on Town Green. We hope you had as much fun at Duluth on Tap as we did!
