Main Street Gets a Creative Makeover with Storm Drain Art

Duluth’s Main Street just got a little brighter—and more educational! The City recently unveiled stunning new storm drain art in front of the Duluth Public Library, designed by Atlanta-based artist Brianna Gardocki. City leaders, including Mayor Greg Whitlock and Councilmembers Jamin Harkness, Marline Thomas, and Manfred Graeder, joined the Duluth Public Art Commission, Explore Gwinnett, and the City’s Stormwater Department for the big reveal.

These eye-catching murals do more than add beauty to the streets—they serve as an important reminder that only rain belongs in the drain! This project raises awareness about stormwater pollution and the role we all play in keeping our waterways clean.

Check out the new artwork next time you’re in Downtown Duluth and join us in protecting our environment!
